The Manager is responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of the regulatory specialist team within Legal and Compliance Department. In addition to ensuring successful execution of the team’s responsibilities, the manager will be responsible for providing supervisory support, creating efficient processes, and leveraging technologies to automate and simplify regulatory filings. The regulatory specialist team is responsible for supporting the Markel US Insurance Division efforts to ensure compliance with state laws and regulation as they relate to insurance operation, specifically licensing and registration, certain data calls, as well as doing business in various jurisdictions; and communicate compliance concepts to internal partners.
