Chernoff Vilhauer LLP, a boutique intellectual property law firm based in Portland, Oregon, seeks a USPTO licensed patent attorney with preferably at least three years of patent prosecution experience. Preferred candidates will also have a technical background in electrical engineering, fiber optic communications, and/or encryption/security. Chernoff Vilhauer exclusively practices intellectual property law, with a focus on patent and trademark prosecution, intellectual property litigation, and licensing.  We help our clients grow their portfolios and enforce their interests domestically and internationally.  We offer flexible work hours, room to grow your practice, and a congenial work environment while providing exceptional legal services to our clients. 

We prefer 3 years of substantive experience drafting applications and office action responses. USPTO Bar registration is desirable. A strong technical background, trademark or patent prosecution experience, and ITC or IPR experience are a plus.
